Hats N Heels Mural

Click the image to go to the www.OrlandoSentinel.com article!!!
This mural was painted for my friend Millie McPherson who opened her boutique, "Hats N Heels" a month ago on the corner of Mills and Colonial in downtown Orlando. I wanted to capture the chique nature of her accessories, so I used a Picasso/ tropical style to do just that. This painting ads life and beauty to an otherwise drab corner. Hope u like it!

Project Pain Music Video and Album Cover ART... DEXOS

Jimmy Hendrix Smoking

This painting was done in an abandoned water treatment facility in Opa Locka, Miami. It is 9 feet tall and 8 feet wide. I did it in 20 minutes because the area was very dangerous. There were several homeless men living there and when I found the location, I walked in on them smoking crack... they were so high they didn't bother me. But I hurried anyway. I am very proud of this painting. It was photographed and published in Jim and Karla Murray's best selling book "Miami Graffiti". Spray paint on wall. Check the video below I made of it...

The 2 headed dragon over flowers

This is an oldie but a goodie... 2007 to be exact. I was using a minimal lines style. This piece was right off of I95 and 113 street in Miami on a law office. Spray paint on wall. It was never finished unfortunately...

Jim Morrison Mandala @ the T Shop Miami

This mural was done in 2 parts. I first did just the Jim portrait during the Art Walk Miami event and spoke to the crowd about the techniques used etc. I then retrofitted the background for the Art Basel festival in 2010. Jim is 9 feet tall and 14 feet wide. The entire wall is 19 feet tall and 40 feet wide. The Mandala is a trippy trip into the mind of a psychadelic icon. Mr. Mojo Rizin lives on...

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the Deadlift

So as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner, I am always thinking about ways to improve my game. One idea that recently came to me is how similar a deadlift is to posturing up to a standing guard pass in BJJ. See this video for an example of a deadlift. Now, it's not exactly the same, but you can see the similarity. It's a great example of keeping your back straight and head up to posture up and break the closed guard, which is a great technique to pass and score points in a tournament or match.
The other thing I noticed though, is that in a real fight where it can be life or death and anything goes, or in a pro fight for that matter, this would be an excellent way to PICK A GUY UP AND SLAM HIM DOWN HARD! See this RAMPAGE JACKSON VIDEOof that exact technique.
Either way, deadlifting is awesome and makes you a ton stronger in your hips, back, and legs where all your athletic power comes from anyway. So deadlift and power slam your opponents.
Till next time...
